Calamity Tash is most passionate about inclusivity and accessibility, these values are at the core of her practice. Tash started her art career on unceded Kaurna Land in Adelaide, Australia. At 13 years old Tash started selling hand drawn art at a community market and never looked back. As an aspiring entrepreneur, Tash opened their first store in Payneham, SA, in 2009.
Since then, Tash established two art studios in the city, including the vibrant creative hub, Calamity's Craft Mart in 2022. Tash currently creates from artist hub, The Mill, selling unique wearable art online and at local markets.
Inspired by skill sharing, Tash runs various workshops for all ages, backgrounds and skill levels, from creative thinking, costume creating, jewellery making and more. Libraries, queer youth groups, communities, school or social groups and more- get in touch. Let's get creative.
